Abstract
Shaping spaces. Empowering communities. Future first.
We envision a world where architecture is a universal right, fostering inclusive spaces where people can grow, connect, and thrive. Guided by this vision, S7 has been operating since 2009 in the public works sector, turning constraints and limited resources into opportunities for innovation and shared beauty. Today, we are an international firm with a team of over 130 professionals, 12 partners, and five offices in Milan, Turin, Tirana, Lyon, and Lisbon. Our Tirana office, the third largest, serves as a strategic hub: an international laboratory for research and experimentation where new ideas, people, and talents converge to shape future possibilities.
Our methodology orignates from direct experience in the public sector: schools, universities, civic spaces, and neighborhoods undergoing regeneration. In these contexts, we have learned that architecture is above all a collective, cultural, and social act capable of generating light, sustainable civic infrastructures that improve everyday life while creating both social and urban value. Today we also bring this know-how to the private sector, applying the same principles of inclusion, sustainability, and innovation to create residential, directional, and cultural spaces that have a real impact on people and communities.
We believe in relational, inclusive, and courageous architecture: for us, designing means listening to community needs while also having the courage to make a statement, transforming cities into places of connection, dignity, and collective growth.
Our approach integrates dry construction technologies, prefabrication, and timber, our material of choice: natural, renewable, quick to assemble, and with a reduced environmental footprint. In a rapidly accelerating world, speed of execution is not a compromise but a necessary condition to deliver timely, tangible, and sustainable responses. Building lightly upon the environment means embracing responsibility for both the present and the future.
Alongside this technical and environmental dimension, we invest in research and the use of artificial intelligence. AI is an integral part of our design workflow: it supports data analysis, complexity management, and formal experimentation, while freeing time for the creative and empathic dimension of the project. More than a tool, it is a driver of exploration and creativity, expanding our ability to interpret people’s needs and bring them to life in concrete spaces.
Our projects embody this vision across diverse contexts: from cultural and natural landmarks that weave together architecture, nature, and community, to large-scale urban regeneration initiatives that turn public housing into opportunities for dignity and beauty. We explore innovative and inclusive living models that respond to the evolving needs of active aging, while investing in the quality of educational environments as catalysts for social transformation and collective growth.
We are irreverent, antifragile, pop, a community of thought in motion. For us, designing is like composing music: an act rooted in listening, yet one that generates resonance, collectivity, and impact. Every project is an opportunity to innovate, experiment, and care for the world, as much as to transform it. In this sense, we define ourselves as “ambassadors of the future”: creators of spaces that welcome, resonate, and transform.
Our proposal for FABER 2025 seeks to share this experience on an international stage, contributing to the debate on inclusive smart cities. Because the intelligence of a city is not measured only by data or digital networks, but also by its ability to include, connect, and provide high-quality spaces that reflect people’s aspirations.
